The proposition seems to have been this: John Ebata and Pritchard began by listening to recordings by Dizzy Gillespie and sharing their responses one musical, one visual—with each other. Subsequently Gillespie was set aside and pianist and painter proceeded to improvise their own work as a reflection of each other's creations.
